How your check is handled

PauseLens needs the text or screenshot you submit in order to analyze it. This page describes the current product behavior without promising that any online service is risk-free.

What we process

We process the message text or screenshot you choose, the resulting risk guidance, and limited operational records needed to run and protect the service. Anonymous abuse controls use a signed browser session and privacy-preserving identifiers derived from network information.

How analysis works

Submitted content is sent to an AI provider for structured extraction. PauseLens then applies its own deterministic policy to produce risk reasons and a recommended next action. Provider requests use the provider’s store: falseoption, but that setting is not a general retention guarantee; provider handling remains subject to the provider’s own service terms and policies.

Retention and deletion

Once a check completes or fails, its raw input is currently assigned a 24-hour retention deadline. After that deadline, background cleanup redacts raw text and deletes normalized screenshots from private object storage. Cleanup is retried when infrastructure is unavailable, so deletion may occur after the deadline rather than at an exact instant.

Content-free records such as status, public results, safety accounting, and operational metadata may remain after the raw input is removed. Checks that are still queued or processing are not deleted merely because they are old, because doing so could prevent safe completion or recovery.

What is not public

Screenshots are kept in private storage and are not exposed through a public object URL. Internal evidence, model output, scoring details, prompts, and provider credentials are not part of the public Check result.

Your choices

Submit only content you are comfortable having processed for this purpose. Remove unrelated personal details when practical. You can use PauseLens without creating a user account.
